Questions about your EMS bill?

A few residents have contacted Town Hall asking questions about a bill they have received from our EMS department, with a return address in Nebraska. The Town decided to use an outside billing company for the Town’s EMS department when we assumed operation of the service in February 2013. EMS Billing Services, Inc., in Omaha, Nebraska, is a professional billing company that serves hundreds of other EMS departments, both small and large. The Town selected this company to handle the billing and collections process, as they have had 15 years of experience in the industry.

If you have a question about a bill you receive from CarnegieĀ EMS, call EMS Billing Services directly at 1-800-367-9111. They are able to help you file any insurance claims, and can answer any questions about your bill. If you need to send a copy of your insurance cards or other documentation to them, you can mail it to them, or you can bring your documents down to the EMS department office at the Carnegie Fire Station during normal business hours. The EMS staff can make copies of your information and send it to the billing company for you if necessary.

If you have a bill with Carnegie EMS for services prior to February 1, 2013, the Carnegie Hospital will bill and collect for those charges.

If you want to make a payment on your bill, you can call the billing office at 1-800-367-9111 to pay with a credit or debit card over the phone, or you can mail your payment to Town of Carnegie EMS, P.O. Box 641880, Omaha, NE 68164. Please note that payments for the EMS department cannot be made in person at Town Hall or at the EMS office.
